JOURNEY THROUGH CHAOS

Victor Alexandrov’s oeuvre includes an autobiography which covers the early stages of his life – essentially the period from the Great War and the Russian Revolution through the dawn of World War II. He managed to have this novelistic biography published as Journey Through Chaos in multiple editions and in 15 languages from 1945 (USA) through 1987 (USSR).

Highly acclaimed and commercially successful, particularly in the post-war era, the title is currently available only used through Amazon and other online booksellers. A digitized version can be accessed through the READ IT! link, courtesy of Google and the University of Michigan.

This autobiography is one of the strangest ever written. Victor Alexandrov is an orphan of our disordered civilization. The Russian Revolution cast him out at fourteen into a world ruled by terror, famine, and disease.

Goodreads

This story of the endless misadventures of a young Russian, cast adrift by the Revolution, would be incredible were it not that we live in an incredible age.
